Brittany and Ben met in the 10th grade at Colchester High. So, this wedding was FULL of life-long friends and the energy of two families who really know, adore and respect each other.
We can say that it didn’t necessarily go “as planned” as is the case with outdoor ceremonies and the weather in CT….
Dorian and I started with Brittany and her bridesmaids at the MGM Casino at Foxwoods where her dear friend and childhood nanny were finishing doing her hair. In the MGM, she put on her beautiful Lazaro dress from Mariella Creations in Rocky Hill, we loaded up the stunning flowers from It’s So Ranunculus in Marlborough and headed to the lobby for some photos. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the photo series from below of Brittany in the elevator as she headed to the lobby.
Then off to meet the Ben and the boys and HOPEULLY get a chance to sqeeze in some quick photos before the rain…. yep, rain…. 🙁
The ceremony was held inside and was performed by Linda Barns of the Colchester Federated Church. Brittany and her dad walked down the aisle to string music provided by Sam and his crew from Atmosphere Productions. After the ceremony, we had to find some covered space for the photos of Brittany and Ben. We headed back to the covered patio, cleared out the tables and chairs, and were able to get some lovely photos of the two of them. The rain even stopped for just a few moments and we dared to venture off of the patio.
They say that rain on a wedding day is good luck. Well, these two don’t need any luck. If their nice days are half as fun as their rainy days, they are in for an amazing life together!
And since Sam from Atmosphere Productions was the DJ, you KNOW it was a good party! And, check out Sam’s awesome uplighting!
