About Carrie Draghi Photography, LLC, THE STUDIO…
After years as a freelance photographer, I set out in 2005 to build my own identity as an artist, and Carrie Draghi Photography, LLC was born. I soon outgrew my home studio and moved into a full-service space in the heart of the historic (and oh-sooooo-New England) Nayaug Village in South Glastonbury, CT.
In 2013, the exceptionally talented Dan Roggi, formerly the lead photographer and owner of Stephen Charles Photography, joined me as my photographic partner. Dan is woven into so much of this studio’s story that it is not possible to share any of it without mentioning his contribution and expressing gratitude for every assignment we’ve shared. Together, we worked with notable brands such as Interior Design Magazine, L’Oréal, W Magazine, Nissan, KPMG, The Food Network, and Cigar Aficionado, photographing everything from cigars to cars. More recently, I’ve added FanDuel to that list. But what really moves me is capturing real people with real energy.
Then 2020 happened, and a measly little virus flattened the event industry in about 48 hours. I came through resilient, but EVERYTHING has changed. After 13 years in my beloved studio space, I had to pivot. I’ve since shifted my focus from large weddings and running a retail storefront to the work that lights me up most: helping people show up as their most confident, authentic selves. And I still get to photograph them!
Here’s what makes my approach different. Alongside photography, I’m a certified positive psychology and brain science-based executive coach, credentialed by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). I help leaders unlock their potential and step into their next level of impact. That coaching lens comes with me into every session. I know how quickly self-doubt can show up in front of a camera, and how to help people shift out of their heads and into their confidence. My goal isn’t just a great headshot. It’s an image that captures who you are at your best.
What I photograph today:
Corporate and executive headshots and team photos, at a studio located in Glastonbury or on location at your workplace. Personal branding sessions and editorial-style imagery. Intimate weddings, from courthouse ceremonies to elopements. Family portraits and high school senior portraits.
